A Walk Through Mahón

In the heart of Mahón, Plaça d’Espanya is one of those places where the everyday life of the city meets the movement of those who come to discover it.

From the square, the view opens towards some of the most recognisable places in this part of the city: Mercat des Peix and the Claustre del Carme. A particularly lively and well-frequented corner, it has become one of the main meeting points for those visiting Mahón.

With this illustration, I wanted to capture that feeling: the openness of the square, its buildings, trees, terraces and the constant coming and going of people, beneath the Mediterranean light that transforms the colours of the city.

The artwork begins with drawing and ink, followed by colour applied using a limited palette to preserve the graphic and spontaneous character of the illustration.

A panoramic view for those who know Mahón and for those who hold a special memory of the city.
